Welcome to Nyora Forest Retreat! - A Simple, Peaceful Environment
Nyora is an `eco-cottage¿ ¿ catching the north sun, with pure spring water, wood heating [plus central heating back-up] and generator-powered [we chose to keep the trees, so it's not solar]. It¿s furnished simply ¿ almost in Zen style, with low futon beds and Swedish furniture. Its gift to you is its simple beauty and lack of clutter, its natural style amongst the stunning beauty of the forest.
Nyora accommodates a maximum of 6 people. There are three bedrooms. Will you choose to sleep upstairs under the eaves in one of the bedrooms looking out into the tree tops? Or downstairs where you may see the lyrebirds dancing? The futon beds are all single, but can easily be joined to make a comfortable king size bed [king size futon and doona supplied on request].
Nyora is cool in summer and warm and snug in winter. Will you light the pot belly stove if you need a bit of warmth? Or simply turn on the generator and central heating?
Will you go for a wander along the bush paths and sit for a while in one of the magic dells? Or will you stride out up the road first, and explore the mountain? Or listen to some relaxing music on the beautiful sound system? [CDs provided].
Cooking is easy in the fully equipped kitchen ¿ or you may choose to drive 10 minutes into the township to select a meal from one of the many local eateries, from pubs to cafes to beautiful winery restaurants.
Stay for one or two nights, or take advantage of the lower tariffs for a week¿s stay, and benefit from the peace for longer.

Behind the Sanctuary rise the hills of a new world of tall noble white-trunked manna gums and gullies full of mature old tree ferns.
